PFD Workato Challenge 2022
Automate to Enable Secure and Seamless Remote Work
With the rise of automation, how can we leverage technology to integrate our security processes end-to-end to determine who are the compliant license users and who is not? How can automation enable a secure yet seamless remote work environment for all?
I N I T I A L T H O U G H T S
All the challenge statements were going to put all the skills that we have learnt over the previous 3 semesters to good use. It would also require us to further improve our abilities and learn new ones as well.

Most of the challenge statements had a predictable layout of the work that had to be done. They involve the creation of a web application. However, we would also have to implement addtional functions such as cloud computing, testing and machine learning applications.

I was quite loss at first as I did not know what to expect from several of the challenge statements.
​
This is especially so for the Workato challenge as it was unknown as to what form the final product would come in (e.g, Website, Python Application, Workato Platform?).
​
I have never done any automation related work before and it seem liked an interesting field to me. I was intrigued by the work that Workato was doing to save time and effort, thereby increasing the efficiency of work through automation.
I was excited to hop into the challenge!
It was the first day of the semester and I was optimistic in completing whatever problems would come my way!

The group formation was an interesting twist on the randomize selection of group members as the group leaders could only know what our classmates were strong and weak at through a piece of paper that was flipped to hide our names..
